Inclusive Recruitment and Onboarding of Staff

One of the most important decisions we make is who we ask to join our team. Without clear guidelines and expectations, recruitment processes may allow more bias to seep in, leading to barriers in developing and maintaining a diverse candidate pool. Furthermore, the onboarding process of new staff is a critical time for campuses and managers to convey the importance and values of diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Join our dynamic presenter Naomi Sigg as she shares best practices in the search process - from the development and training of a search team, to cultivating a diverse candidate pool, and ensuring the integrity of the interview process from beginning to end. Naomi will review common missteps in recruitment that lead to increased moments of bias and exclusion. Furthermore she will provide best practices in the first month of on-boarding new staff that will ensure a smooth transition and communicate a culture of inclusion.

A sample of what this webinar will cover:

  • The implicit bias that we all bring into the recruitment process.
