Leaves of Absence Certification – With COVID-19 And FFCRA Updates

Leaves of absence can confound even the most seasoned HR professional. COVID-19 has added a new layer of complexity to granting and managing leaves. You need to know the details of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (EPSLA), and the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act (EFMLEA).

Even in more routine situations, there are dozens of detailed FMLA and ADA rules and many different reasons that can cause employees to request time away. One mistake in granting, denying, or managing a leave of absence can expose your employer to costly risks.

Our Leaves of Absence Certification Training Program will enable you to:

  • Update your knowledge of the latest rules
  • Learn the fundamental laws and regulations governing leaves of absence
  • Support employees in difficult situations
  • Protect your organization from potential legal liability
  • Prove your knowledge with a certificate

Each session focuses on an essential area of the rules for leaves of absence. We have packed a large volume of interesting and useful content into five engaging sessions.

If you are unable to attend any of the live sessions on the days that have been scheduled you may utilize the equivalent on-demand recording(s). Upon completion of all sessions you may request a final exam. Upon passing the final exam you will have earned the designation of Certified Leaves of Absence Manager (CLAM) by HRWebAdvisor, a division of CareerLearning. To help demonstrate your professional training, content mastery, and advancement in the HR sector, we will send you a certificate for display.

The cost for the program is $995. Registration includes all 5 sessions, on-demand recordings, all course materials, and test. There is a second-year continuing education certification requirement which includes attendance at two additional webinars (live or on-demand).
